     ForceWare 191.03 Beta

    NVIDIA has put the ForceWare 191.03 beta version online. These drivers are for cards based on the GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100 and 200 as well as the ION platforms. OpenGL 3.2 support has been added for the GeForce 8, 9, 100 and 200 as well as ION. NVIDIA has announced the following improvements on version 190.62:
    - Up to 12% in ARMA2
    - Up to 8% in Batman Dark Asylum with PhysX effects activated
    - Up to 50% in Call of Juarez: Blood in Bound in SLI mode
    - Up to 14% in interior scenes in Fallout 3 with FSAA activated
    - Up to 10% in Farcry 2 with FSAA activated
    - Up to 34% in Prototype with FSAA activated

    SLI support has also been added for the following games: Darkfall, Dawn of Magic 2: Time of Shadows, Dreamkiller, Fuel, Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim, Need for Speed: Shift.

     Freecom moves up to USB 3.0

    Freecom is the first external hard drive manufacturer to offer a solution with USB 3.0 support. The Freecom Hard Drive XS 3.0 offers speeds of "up to 130 MB/s", which is more than the best USB 2.0 solutions (limited to 60 MB/s max.) and FireWire 800 (limited to 80 MB/s max.). Several models will be available: 1, 1.5 and 2 TB, with the 1 TB model having been announced at 119 euros and available as of mid-November. Freecom will also be offering two controller cards to make the most of USB 3.0: a PCI-Express card at 25.95 euros and an Express Card at 29.95 euros.
