ChipHell has published some photos of the R700 which should be sold under the name Radeon HD 4870 X2.

This card, equipped with two RV770s borrows the concept introduced with the Radeon HD 3870 X2. We find a new PCI Express PLX switch which enables P2P transfer and avoids having to go pass through the chipset again for transfers between GPUs. In theory, it is a newer version than the one used up until now and we can thus hope for PCI-E 2.0 support. In terms of power, we note the presence of an 8 pin connector and another 6 pin like on the GeForce 9800 GX2. Finally, you may recall that photos of its cooling system
have been circulating for several weeks.
