Hitachi’s press invite for the CES 2008 states the following: « 1.5 is coming » and now there is little doubt that they will take advantage of the CES to announce the first 1.5 terabit hard drive.
This capacity should be attained by using a 5 platter design which already enabled the manufacturer to reach 1 TB a year ago. This time, however, 300 GB platters will be used.
