If the release of the Barcelona is early awaited, the Athlon 64 X2 65nm (core Brisbane) line will continue with at least three new models featuring a different type of denomination, the BE-2300 (1.9GHz), BE-2350 (2.1GHz) and BE-2400 (2.3GHz). The latter will have a TDP of 45 Watts instead of 65 Watts for the 3600+, 4000+ et 4400+ respectively running at the same frequencies as the version featuring 2 x 512KB of L2 cache or less. EPoX,the second-tier motherboard manufacturer who encountered a great success at the time of the nForce 2, is apparently going bankrupt. The company has been losing steam for quite some time now and is facing accusations of misappropriation of funds and fraudulent transactions between 2001 and 2003 of $26.2 million that lead to police search in March 2006.

Today, the website is no longer updated and rumors of employees leaving or no payment of salaries are multiplying.

According to the information unveiled by OCWorkbench, a new company named SuPoX and using the same existent product line could be created to follow EPoX.
