After having announced it for its laptop processors, Intel is now introducing the K0 stepping for desktop for 32nm Intel LGA1156 CPUs. The Core i3-530, 540 and Core i5-650, 660, 661 and 670 will adopt the new stepping as of July 5th and the Pentium G6950 as of August 23rd.

For now we don’t know much about what the new stepping will bring other than support for Processor Context ID (PCID), a feature designed to improve performance in the framework of virtualization.
