G.Skill has launched a new range of memory, the Snipers. Using a heatspreader in the form of a weapon, these 4 GB bars run at various voltages and can go down as low as 1.25v. The Sniper memory bars are divided into three series, the SRs, SR1s and SR2s.

The SRs run at 1.5v at DDR3-1333/1600/1866 CL9, 1.6v at DDR3-1600 CL7, with only the DDR3-1300/1600 CL9 versions being AMD and Intel platform compatible. The rest of the Sniper range is just Intel platform compatible. The SR1s at DDR3-1333 or DDR3-1600 CL9 run at 1.35v, and the SR2s at the same settings but at 1.25v.
