Nvidia has released a new version of the G84M: the 8700M GT. This new GPU denomination hides in fact a boosted version of the 8600M GT with 31.6% and 14.3% higher core and memory frequencies. This chip supports of course DirectX 10 and PureVideo 2 for HD decoding.
In the end though, this GeForce 8700M GT is less performing than the 8600 GTS. This isn't something that is really obvious considering the name of the product.
