OCZ Technology says that it is going to quit the memory bar market, so it can concentrate on SSDs. SSDs now represent 78% of the brand’s turnover and OCZ clearly wants to focus on what is a more profitable sector.

RAM was however the initial starting point for OCZ at its launch in 2002, being one of the first companies, along with Corsair, to launch DDR400 running with a CAS Latency of 2. Over the last three years OCZ has been very active in the domain of SSDs, having participated in the democratisation of models based on the JMicron, then Indilinx and now SandForce chips.

NVIDIA and TSMC have announced that a billion GeForces have now been delivered! A nice performance, reached in under 12 years according to the two companies. As the GeForce 256 came out in September 1999, or under 11 years ago, we’re wondering if these figures also include the Riva 128s and TNTs, but this is a mere detail.
