Nvidia published financial results for the first financial quarter 2008 ended last April 29. Compared to the same period last year, revenues jumped 24% to $844 million and net income improved 46% to $132 million. Everything seems to be for the best and it also means that raw margins have seriously been improved. According to the Californian manufacturer, the GeForce Go sales have contributed to these good performances with revenue growth of 71%. According to Mercury Research, the manufacturer would be the market leader with 60% segment share. The Quadro revenue growth is of 39 percent year-over-year and in Q4 07 Nvidia had a record breaking quarter.
However, these figures even if they are great are not as good as the previous quarter. Sales dropped 4% and net incomes 19%. It is nevertheless important to point out that this record breaking quarter included the Christmas and New Year's holiday which is always good for sales. With the lead taken for DirectX 10 GPUs, Nvidia can serenely continue to look to the future. |
