While Vijay Sharma and Victor Peng, Director of Product Marketing and Vice President Silicon Engineering with the Graphics Products Group, respectively, have just left the company, today AMD has unveiled the FireGL V7700 presented as the first 3D professional card with DisplayPort support.

Equipped with an RV670, it completes the current line while it stands apart with its PCI-Express 2.0 support. The card has 512 MB of GDDR4 interfaced with a bus with a width of 256 bits and set at around 1200 MHz. On the other hand, the GPU frequency was not specified.

Sold for $1099 in the US, it should be available starting in April.
