Title: PCI-E x16 to PCI-E x1 adaptor
Description: The conception of PCI Express making it more or less flexible, the Japanese company Kuroutoshikou took advantage of this to commercialize a physical adaptor which allows a PCI-E x16 card to fit into a PCI-E x1 port. Of course, as we already have seen with external 3D cards, this strongly limits the performances of graphic cards, but this doesn’t mean their existence isn’t justified.

Note that when a PCI-E port is not physically «enclosed », it is still possible to insert a card equipped with a longer connector. For example, this was true for MSI’s K8N Neo4 which allowed the use of SLI with an nForce4 Ultra chipset. Beyond the limited 3D and SLI performances, of course the interest of this type of solution is to multiply the number of graphic cards in relation to the number of screens or more simply to be able to use a graphic card on certain motherboards only equipped with x1 ports.

A series of feedback is already available.
