Title: Dell: new LCD 22'', 27'' and 30'' LCD monitors
Description: 22 inches: Dell E228WFP, 455 € / $329

This is a classic 22" monitor: TN 5 ms, 1680 x 1050 pixels, 800:1, VGA + DVI/HDCP. It is 100 € more expensive than the Samsung monitor which has similar characteristics. Considering its price, it is difficult to picture how this monitor will make a name for itself. Now, the thing is that Dell usual discounts can go up to 20%. With this type of reduction, the price of 360 € would be much more competitive.

27 pouces : Dell 2707WFP, 1300 € / $1,399

27" monitors are in fashion and are supposed to replace 24". Their characteristics are identical (PVA 6 ms panel, 1920 x 1200 pixels, 1000:1, DVI+HDCP), and they will succeed in replacing them if their prices are comparable…but this isn't the case at all. There is a 200€ price gap between the two diagonals. As some users aren't really great fans of big pitches (this one is at 0.30 mm), we aren't expecting a huge success and the immediate replacement of 24" monitors.

30 pouces : Dell 3007WFP-HC, 1650 €

Here is a new version of the 30". The previous one had important brightness homogeneity issues (20 to 50% variation from one corner to the other). The new 3007WFP-HC is supposed to bring a solution to this problem with the quality of the new backlighting and a different panel. Response time decreases from 11 to 8ms (you shouldn't expect huge differences on this side) and CCFL tubes are now wide-gamut with 92% coverage of the NTSC space (just like the Nec LCD2690WUXi recently tested). The panel will probably be an IPS like the previous one, but Dell hasn't confirmed this information.
