Title: Issues with the 6600 GT AGP ?
Description: Available in numbers one to two weeks before Christmas, the 6600 GT AGP is in shops and users are starting to send us feedbacks. And it seems that even if regularly several graphic card sold are faulty, some graphic cards seem to have more problems than others.

Mains issues come from two areas. The first one is the computer power supply. It seems that NVIDIA’s reference design used by all manufacturer is very sensitive to the +12V line. And if your power supply is inclined to strongly reduce the voltage when used, your computer might crash when the 3D is used.

The other problem is the graphic card temperature. Some graphic cards seem to heat up more than others because of a cooling system misassembling. Issues come from the attachment or the thermal paste.

If you want to be careful or if your power supply is an entry level product, you will probably want to choose a 9800 Pro. This graphic card is less efficient, but is also cheaper and is a proven product.
