Title:
Radeon X850 & X800 XL
Description:
The Inquirer
has published today some information on the new Radeon X850 and X800. Three graphic cards still based on the 130 nm R423 core should be produced and release next December, 1rst:
- Radeon X850XT PE : 16 pipelines, 540/590 MHz, 256 MB
- Radeon X850XT : 16 pipelines, 520/540 MHz, 256 MB
- Radeon X850 Pro : 12 pipelines, 520/540 MHz, 256 MB.
But that isn’t it. Cheaper to produce, the 110 nm R430 should also be released. Two graphic cards will be equipped with this core:
- Radeon X800 XL : 16 pipelines, 400/500 MHz, 256 MB, $349
- Radeon X800 : 12 pipelines, 400/350 MHz, 128 MB, $249
The current range includes the following graphic cards:
- Radeon X800 XT PE : 16 pipelines, 520/560 MHz, 256 MB
- Radeon X800 XT : 16 pipelines, 500/500 MHz, 256 MB
- Radeon X800 Pro : 12 pipelines, 475/450 MHz, 256 MB
- Radeon X800 SE : 8 pipelines, 425/400 MHz, 128 MB
As architectures are identical, performance hierarchy should be (if specifications are accurate): X850XT PE > X850XT – X800 XT PE > X800 XT > X850 Pro > X800 XL > X800 Pro > X800 > X800 SE
Simple huh? (sic)
These graphic cards should be available in January.
