The problem, linked to the bios, affects some of the models sent out to the press, which were the cards used in the first published tests and which therefore show performance dips of around 10% lower than those on the correctly furnished Radeon HD 4830s.
What is more problematic is that AMD announced today that HIS has distributed worldwide around 400 cards which have this problem. A simple bios update is all that’s required to correct the problem, after detection with GPU-Z, but HIS has not yet posted the said bios update on its site ...
