Already present on the power supply market with models starting at 70 €, Corsair has decided to launch more affordable units under the “Power” family name. The first model, the Corsair Power CX400W, has higher than 80% efficiency, an active power correction factor, and is cooled by a 120mm temperature regulated fan.

In terms of connectivity, there is an ATX 24 pin connector, an ATX12V/EPS12V, PCI-Express 6 pins+2pins, 6 SATA, 6 Molex and 2 Floppys. The power supply can deliver a total of 400W, 360W of which on the single 12V rail.

Announced for a recommended price of 49.99€, this power supply should be in direct competition with models that were tested in our latest survey. None of these models allied efficiency, power quality, and low noise levels in full load. Will this be the one?
