The SSD market is in total flux right now and this week it’s SuperTalent’s turn with its new entry-level range. The SuperTalent LXs, with MLC memory, are priced at only $179 (64 GB) and $299 (128 GB).
Performances are stated at 100 MB/s read speed and 40 MB/s write speed, which is obviously nothing exceptional but which will be enough if the stated access time of 0.1 ms remains constant (not the case for some entry-level SSDs whose access times shoot up during random writing operations).
The SuperTalent LXs should be available as of the beginning of October.
