Yesterday, Nvidia unveiled five new GeForce 9Ms, all found in the "Enthusiast" segment as mid-level models were already launched at the Computex in early June. Even if Nvidia isn’t too clear on the subject, the number of calculation units and information published previously by certain of our colleagues enable us to guess which GPUs will be used. Of course, all are Hybrid SLI compatible.

Curiously, the GeForce 9800M GT is more powerful than the GTS and this is something rather inconsistent with Nvidia’s hierarchy of suffixes.
While the GeForce 9800M GTX should offer interesting performances for a mobile GPU (it does better than the 8800M GTX and its 96 calculation units), note that, for example, the 9700M GT will be much closer to the 8600 GTS rather than the 9600 GT desktop – and this despite (or rather due to) the official nomenclature. To find an equivalent to the 9600 GT, we will have to look towards the 9800M GTS and even then frequencies are much lower! Unfortunately, this is a deceptive practice that we see much too often.
Like their smaller siblings, they can fit into MXM 3.0 type modules and their creator promises PhysX support via a beta driver starting in the third quarter. We are betting the big green graphics giant will do everything possible to not reproduce the errors made with other mobile GPUs. Moreover, more precise information on these products would be appreciated.
