While we’ve known the specifications and positioning of the first three Nehalem processors expected out in the four quarter for some time now, prices have remained a mystery.

According to information obtained at
HKEPC from Taiwanese manufacturers, we should plan on $999 for the XE (which is standard for an "Extreme"), $562 for the P1 and $284 for the MS3, which is more than reasonable because the Core 2 Q9300 currently costs $266.
Given the fine performances of the Bloomfield, this is rather good news; however, before we become too enthusiastic we still have to wait and see what the launch price will be for a motherboard equipped with an X58 chipset and three DDR3-1066 modules with acceptable timings...
