     AMD: the reorganization continues

The reorganization of AMD, started several months ago and which has up until now been in the form of an unprecedented waltz of resignations and promotions in the company’s hierarchy, is not entirely over. Yesterday, the firm announced the nomination of Gustavo Arenas, Senior Vice-President, to the post of Chief Sales Officer.

His duties include assuring the coordination and collaboration between regional sales entities and the firm’s large clients. Previously, Mr. Arenas was in charge of sales and marketing for North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Before this he worked some 30 years for Motorola, notably as Corporate Vice-president and General Manager - something which has lately been almost a required rite of passage for most of the current executives of Intel’s rival.
