While the first Atom processors’ relatively low performances in slightly or non multi-threaded applications shouldn’t overshadow the Core 2, things could be different in other applications. Because there is less money to be made in a PC priced at 300€ than a 1000€ PC, it would be hazardous to make the former too interesting. The good news is that the price of the motherboard/Mini-ITX casing ensemble should be lower because massive investment is planned to produce this format at the lowest cost.
