According to the Chinese report Apply Daily, only 40% of Atom orders for the month of May will be honored. The cause of this shortage wasn’t specified and Intel is simply content to say that they are currently increasing the production volumes of all of its 45nm CPUs while reaffirming their confidence in being able to supply the high anticipated demand for the Atom.
