Nvidia: G94b and G96b in 55nm? Posted on 10/04/2008 at 13:43 by Nicolas
According to VR-Zone, Nvidia intends to release a 55nm die shrink of the G94 and G96 in addition to the one planned for the G92.
The new GPUs will be called the G94b and G96b and will notably equip the GeForce 9800M GT and certain 9800M GTS (G94b and 1 GB of GDDR3) as well as the GeForce 9650M GT (G96b). In all likelihood, we can also expect to see them in desktop cards. This will enable Nvidia to be aggressive on prices when competing with the Radeon HD 3690 and 3830 which have an RV670 also in 55nm.
