During its Financial Analyst Day which took place yesterday in New York, AMD unveiled some interesting information concerning "Montreal" processors which will fit in the G3 socket and are destined for servers and work stations. Each of the 4 or 8 cores (depending on the version) will have 1 MB of L2 cache and they will share an L3 cache of 6 or 12 MB. According to information published by Goldman Sachs, there will actually be 2 dies in the CPU.
