Samsung has unveiled two new SSDs with a capacity of 64 GB in 1.8" and 2.5" formats. While the capacity remains unchanged compared to what already exists for the South Korean manufacturer, the interface has evolved because instead of Ultra ATA/66 there is now SATA 3.0 Gbits/s.
Such a change was necessary given the announced reading/writing speeds of 100 and 80 MB/s versus the 64 and 45 MB /s of their predecessor. We will just have to wait for the price which should be higher.
