After the high end Core 2 Extreme, Quad, and Duo and the dual core Celeron, there is now information about the release of the upcoming Core 2 Duo mid-range. Two models are expected out in the first quarter of 2008: an E4700 set at 2.6 GHz which will still have an FSB 800 MHz and 2 MB of L2 cache priced at $133 (the current price of the E4500) and another engraved in 45 nm, whose frequency, price and numbering have not yet been revealed. It will nevertheless include an FSB 1066 MHz and L2 cache of 3 MB. With a little luck, we could also learn about future Pentiums next week...
