Between the introduction of the Core 2 Duo E4500 on July 22 for a price of $133 and that of the E4600 announced for October for the same price as its predecessor when it was released, Intel is planning on launching a Pentium E2180 set at 2GHz with 512KB of L2 cache for each core. This will be starting on August 26 for a price of $84. Its little brother, the E2160, which was sold up until now for this same price, will be offered for $74, making the E2140 disappear at the same time. You may remember that like the Core 2 Duo E4x00, the Pentium E21x0 function with a FSB of 800MHz, while the former have a doubled L2 cache at 2X 1MB.
