AMD has informed the principal partners a few days ago that there will be a reduction of desktop processors prices next July 9th. With the new price list, the Athlon 64 X2 will be approximately 20% cheaper and the mono core Athlon 64 mono core and Sempron 15%.
We remind you that Intel's Core 2 processor price reductions will take place the 22nd of the same month. The Quad Core Q6600, amongst others, will decrease from $530 to $266. Because of the lack of new CPUS, AMD can only anticipate the market changes and limit the damages.
