Gigabyte to release eight P35 motherboards

Gigabyte officially launched three lines of motherboards featuring the P35 Express chipsets (8 models in total). The Taiwanese manufacturer insists on the quality of components of high end models and in particular on the exclusive presence of solid condenser produced in Japan. The release of the P35 is apparently increasingly complicated.

This chipset, which made its appearance at CeBIT, isn't supposed to be released before the Computex in the beginning of June. Motherboards are however finished and some of them are already in shops. This is the reason why we see this type of announcement even if Intel hasn't officially released the chipset.

The P35-DQ6, P35-DS4, P35-DS3P, P35-DS3R and P35-DS3 coming of the P35 series support DDR2 memory. Just like MSI, the cooling system is big and Gigabyte has apparently wanted to show with the P35-DQ6 featuring SilentPipe / Crazy Cool that is was capable of using copper too.

The P35T series includes the P35T-DQ6 and P35T-DS4 and support DDR3 memory. These two models also feature the Crazy Cool. Finally, the P35C-DS3R is the only model supporting both DDR2 and DDR3 and will be a good choice for user who will want to upgrade to the expensive DDR3 later on. It has unfortunately only one PCI-E 16X connector and isn't compatible with CrossFire.
