The strategic alliance of Gigabyte and ASUS named Gigabyte United is now suspended. According to Gigabyte, the reasons would be the confusion of client and manufacturers and modification with internal and external consequences.

The two companies agreed that Asus won't have to pay penalties despite the initial expected investment of 3.92 billion Taiwanese dollars (approximately €89.1 millions). Also, if Asus cut a pretty good deal, Gigabyte will have to review sales forecast for Gigabyte United. Nevertheless, despite this sudden change, we noted that the latter will probably continue to exist. Several activities of the mother company have already been transferred (cooling, mobile phones and laptops) and others might follow.
