Today, and as expected, Lenovo-IBM recalled 526.000 batteries of ThinkPad R (R51e, R52, R60, R60e), T (T43, T43p, T60) and X (X60, X60s) series sold from February 2005 to this date and manufactured by Sony. Since bad news never comes alone, Toshiba's recall is finally more important than expected: 830.000 additional units manufactured between March and May this year are recalled.

Finally, Dell announced that 100.000 additional units will be replaced. This figure, however, has to be put into perspective as the total amount of batteries only increases from 4.1 to 4.2 million… for now.
