According to manufacturers of cooling systems for GPUs, the next generation of high end models will be quite power hungry and therefore release a lot more heat. This is a special opportunity as Arctic Cooling told us, who is developing solutions with a totally new look as well as being quite efficient. For Arctic Cooling this should be very advantageous, because of the fact that upcoming GPUs are expected to be very power hungry and consumers want silent products. This should result in an increase in sales directly to card manufacturers, who want to address noise problems more and more.
Unfortunately, for these above for high end products, the reference ATI or Nvidia cooling system will be paid for, discarded, and a second one will have to be purchased. This, of course, leads to additional unwanted cost. |
