Computex : not enough graphic cards Posted on 10/06/2006 at 13:09 by Damien
According to Intel, ATI and NVIDIA won't be able to provide enough graphic cards in the months to come because of the Core 2 Duo introduction that will boost the computer market. This will be particularly true for high end products but other cards will be also concerned by this shortage. Initially, the G965 that integrates a graphic core wasn't supposed to be available before the end of August. Intel is however currently working very hard to finalize and validate it as quickly as possible hoping that it will be ready for the Core 2 Duo release.
If ATI and NVIDIA won't be able to provide enough cards to PC manufacturers, this will also probably be the case for retail shops. This could mean increased prices this summer.
