We remind you that Intel will drastically cut Pentium D processors prices next April 23. The 950 price, clocked at 3.4 GHz, will be cut in half from $637 to $316.
Price reductions of other products of the line will also be consequent. The Pentium D 920 clocked at 2.8 GHz will progressively disappear because it will be at the same price as the 930 at 3 GHz. These price cuts will, amongst other things, prepare the release at the end of the month of the 960 clocked at 3.6 GHz.
There will also be other price cuts this summer. The Pentium D 960, 950 and 940 prices will be reduced to the previous price of the 950, 940 and 930. We have to hope that these successive price reductions will motivate AMD to cut prices even if it dominates Intel on the high end dual core market.
