Finally, Konica Minolta has released a new version of their extra flat digital camera (2.3 cm thick). The X60 is said to be even faster than the previous versions (0.5 s to switch on) and still features a fully integrated 3X optical zoom (it stays in the camera body, so it avoids any damages in case of impact).

Amongst unusual characteristics or functionalities are 15 MB of memory, useful to continue to shoot even when the memory card is full (or left at home), a very wide 2.5” LCD monitor and the possibility to turn the camera into a webcam when it is connected to the computer via USB.

The X60 will be available at the end of May priced US$349.99 (EU 300€).
