Several new SNE power supplies have been recently released in Japan. These ATX power supplies are able to reach peak power outputs of 950, 900 and 850 watts and 750, 700 and 650 watts continuously.

These power supplies main interest is that they are equipped with four +12V rails providing 60 amperes in total (12A, 18A, 18A and 12A for the +12V1, +12V2, +12V3 and +12V4). These power supplies’ differences are on the +5V and +3.3V rails level. The +12V rails repartition is made between the following connectors:

    +12V1: 12V 8 pins connector, 12V 4 pins
    +12V2: 12V 8 pins connector, 4 SATA 5 pins connector
    +12V3: ATX 24 pins connector
+12V4 : seven 4 pins Molex connectors and two 4 pins Floppy connectors

What is the interest of such a high power on a non redundant ATX power supply? Well we are still looking for the answer, because even a dual processor work station with a heavy configuration doesn’t need such a high power and actually polar bears hope that they never will. Prices: 58980, 48980 and 43890 Yens, so approximately $572, $475, $426.
