AMD has announced today the release of a new Sempron dedicated to notebooks, the Sempron Mobile 3000+. Compared to the 2600+ and 2800+ clocked at 1.6 GHz and respectively equipped with 128 KB and 256 KB of cache, the 3000+ version is clocked at 1.8 GHz and is equipped with 128 KB of cache L2. Based on the Athlon 64 core, this Sempron isn’t compatible with AMD64 instructions but includes the NX Bit technology. Maximal electrical consumption reached by this 90 nm processors: 25 watts. The price: $134.
