ATI’s new drivers Posted on 15/11/2004 at 04:21 by Damien
Every month, ATI releases new Catalyst drivers for Windows 2000/XP. The new version, named 4.11, includes a few modifications. One of the bugs corrected used to reduce performances of AGP 256 MB graphic cards with software using intensively video memory…for example 3DMark05.
A disturbing bug regarding Punkbuster si present in these drivers. So with the imminent release of Half life 2, ATI has released a beta version of the Catalyst 4.12. This beta driver file also refers to another high end ATI GPU, the R520. Would the R520 already be ready?
For Windows 9x users, ATI has also released a few days ago, a 4.11 beta version. This is the first version compatible with the Radeon X800/X700/X600/X300 under Windows 9x.
