Zotac has just launched the GeForce GTX 580 AMP² Edition. This card stands out for both its cooler, a Zalman VF-3000, and its size of memory, which is 3GB, against 1.5 GB for the standard GTX 580s. Zotac isn’t the first to increase the memory to this level as Gainward was already offering 3GB on its Phantom range.

The clocks have also been upped, going from 772 to 815 MHz for the GPU, 1544 to 1630 MHz for the shaders and 2004 to 2050 MHz for the GDDR5. The card bundle includes Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but we don’t yet have a price for it. Gainward charge around €100 for their additional 1.5 GB.
