At CeBIT, Patriot officially launched a new, very high-end USB key, the Supersonic Magnum. Announced in 64 and 128 GB versions, these USB 3.0 drives use an 8-channel memory controller to maximise speeds. Sequential read and write speeds have been given as 200 and 110 MB/s respectively.

Availability has been announced for the second quarter for an as yet undisclosed price. At the end of last year Pariot announced the USB 3.0 Supersonic with a memory controller with just four channels and sequential read and write speeds of 100 and 70 MB/s.
