EVGA has announced the release of a new card based on the GTX 275: the GTX 275 CO-OP PhysX Edition. It’s made up of a single PCB with a GT200b for 3D and a GT92b (a GTS 250) for physics. The GT200b has 896 MB of GDDR3 on a 448-bit bus and the GT92b 384 MB of GDDR3 on a 192-bit bus. The pairing also have different clocks: 633/1296/1134 MHz for the GTX 275 and 738/1836/1100 for the GT 250.
The bundle includes a coupon to download the inevitable Batman: Dark Asylum and has been announced at 299 euros, which makes it about the same price as buying a GTX 275 and a GTS 250 separately – but with Batman for free and using just one PCI-Express port. While interest for such a card will be limited to games benefitting from PhysX hardware, we can only salute what is a very original solution.
