In a press release the British MSI site says that all its motherboards based on the Intel X58 chipset now support SLI. This is for the Eclipse, Eclipse Plus, X58 Platinium, X58 Pro-E, X58 Pro et X58-M. All the cards now have a new BIOS accessible via Live Update in Windows on this page at the moment. Some of these cards are on sale at under 200 euros, which is pretty good news.

 2 TB Barracuda available

The last Barracuda LPs have arrived on the shelves in Japan and it shouldn’t be long before they’re available elsewhere. We note particularly the ST3200542AS that has no less than 4 500 GB platters with rotation speeds of 5900 trs/mn. A mouthwatering prospect then these 2 TBs that come with a 32 MB cache. These drives consume 6.8 watts in load and 5.5 watts at rest.

Corsair has announced the availability of a new accessory for bars of memory on its online store. Following the waterblock and a cooler+fan, we can now also improve our Dominator and Dominator GT memory bars with extra aluminium fins that are more extensive than those already on the GTs. These accessories that are supposed to improve cooling are availble in black at $19.99 and in red at $24.99.
