     ViewSonic explains "3ms" and VP930b

This summer, we published two news about two “new ViewSonic monitors the VP930b and new 3ms version VX924. Today, ViewSonic explains these releases:

The VP930B release is confirmed. It is, as we supposed, our favourite MVA VP191b substitute. Shipment begins today in small quantities and the product real estimated availability will be at the end of the month or early October. Compared to early version, contrast ratio increases to 1000:1 and the foot which featured three branches now has four.

The explanation for the "new" 3 ms version VX924 is even simpler than we imagined. It isn’t a new monitor but just a different way to measure grey to grey response time. ViewSonic says to have improved their tests. Let’s help them a little bit: maybe if we closed one eye during the test, the result could fall to 2 ms?

While waiting for an engineer to check our recommendation and possibly revaluate the product characteristics, all those who bought the VX924 can rip the 4 ms logo off and replace it by “3ms”.
On the paper, the VX924 becomes the faster monitor in front of the Samsung SyncMaster 930BF (4 ms) which has, from our point of view, a lower reaction time. The ViewSonic displays however nicer colors.
