Tests at 2560x1600 with 4x antialiasing are very demanding as, on top of saturating the GPU, they also saturate video memory, which allows us to show how the different operating systems perform at this level.

In the heaviest games in these conditions, Windows 7 shows itself more efficient, sometimes a good deal so, as in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky. Nevertheless the gains, as significant as they are, come at a very low overall performance level, which means that the games remain unplayable in practice.

Windows Vista is the least efficient here with Windows XP in front in ArmA 2 and in Quake Wars with the Radeons.
