Samsung 64 GB MLC SSD

Synthetic performance
Mesured with h2benchw, SSD access times are really astonishing, and the SSD Samsung MLC manages to do almost as well as the SLC.

Continuing with sequential speed, still with h2benchw. In contrast to other benchmarking software such as HDTune or HDTach, h2benchw carries out a true sequential test because it reads or writes the entire drive, whereas the others jump between zones to reduce test time.

In read, the Samsung MLC gives an astonishing performance level, well beyond what Samsung themselves have announced (90 Mo /s). We’ll see later that the peformances of the SSD are in fact higher than they should be here, for a reason unknown to us, and that in practice it gives the same level of performance as that announced by Samsung.

Write performances are however normal, at around 7 MB/s less than the SLC version. Here it as at the same level as a 7200 rpm HDD.
