Quake 4

- High quality
- Low quality

The most important modification when changing to low quality mode with Quake was the quality of textures.

This time, Nvidia is clearly in the lead compared to ATI. Intel's solutions are far behind. The G965 and 945G provide equivalent performances and superior to Nvidia's integrated core. The game refused to start with AMD's chipset.

In practice
Here are the graphic settings in which we estimated graphic cards provided high enough performances:

945G : 640x480 low quality, shadows deactivated
G965 : 640x480 low quality, shadows deactivated
GeForce 6150 : 640x480 low quality, shadows deactivated
Radeon X1250 : unplayable
GeForce 7300 GS : 800x600 low quality
GeForce 7300 GT : 1280x1024 high quality
GeForce 6600 GT : 1280x1024 high quality
GeForce 7600 GS : 1280x1024 high quality
GeForce 7600 GT : 1280x1024 high quality, antialiasing 2x
Radeon X1300 : 640x480 low quality
Radeon X1300 XT : 1024x768 high quality
Radeon X1650 Pro : 1280x1024 high quality
Radeon X1650 XT : 1280x1024 high quality, antialiasing 2x
